State of Origin….QUEENSLANDER!

Gaye and Simon Terry owners of Cobbold Gorge Tours and Accommodation in the Gulf Savannah region are proud to announce the opening of their newest business venture, Goldfield’s Hotel and Finnigan’s Rest in Forsayth.
The Goldfield’s Hotel has been recently renovated to create a one-stop shop, combining the Goldfield’s Hotel, Finnigan’s Rest accommodation reception, Mini-Mart and local postal agency all under the one roof.
The community of Forsayth has its history steeped in Gold mining and Cattle grazing. Today the Savannahlander Train is a welcome sight as it draws in to the terminus in Forsayth after its leisurely journey from Cairns. 4WD’s, caravans and camper trailers are common sights in the town as they try their hand at Fossicking and take in the many sights and attractions in the Etheridge Shire.
The Goldfield’s Hotel Grand Re-opening is set for Thursday 30th April 2015 and will be shared with many locals and tourism representatives. The official opening will be performed by the Etheridge Shire Council to get the evening underway from 6pm. A BBQ dinner and live entertainment will ensure a festive night. #exploreTNQ #outbackqueensland #thisisqueensland
